Prishtina, 10 December 2013 - The year 2014 will once again find Kosovo as the poorest country in the region. According to the most recent report of the World Bank, 10.2 % of Kosovo citizens live in extreme poverty.
In its report on economic development in Eastern Europe, “Slow Recovery” World Bank states that Kosovo in 2014 will have a solid economic growth, but insufficient for the creation of new jobs.
The World Bank has also estimated that in Kosovo continues a high dependency on transfer of remittances, while the financial sector is stable. WB considers that deposits are solid and loans reduced.
