Prishtina, 10 April 2014 –Member of the parliament from the parliamentary group of Movement Self Determinations! (Lëvizje Vetëvendosje!) Faton Topalli, at the plenary session of the Assembly of Kosovo, Thursday, criticized Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi for pre-electoral promises for agriculture which, according to him, have no financial coverage.
MP Topalli said that prime minister in his pre-electoral campaign has promised 500 million Euros for agriculture, whereas only 29 million Euros each have been allocated for agriculture under the budgetary projections for 2015 and 2016.
In his immediate reaction, PM Thaçi said that he has committed to 500 million Euros in investment in agriculture which, according to him, will bring about the modernization of the sector of agriculture, and creation of new jobs. He reiterated that what ever he has committed to will be realized, for “we make the budget, not others!”
