Prishtina, 20 August 2013 – A 33-year-old female from Pagarusha village of Malisheva municipality morning passed away, Tuesday due to Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever, raising the number of victims to 10 this year.
Shpend Fazliu, spokesperson for the University Clinical Center of Kosovo, said that the medical team of the Infective Clinic did its outmost to save the life of 33-year-old from Malisheva municipality, who was confirmed with hemorrhagic fever yesterday. He said that the patient came to the clinic on the fourth day of illness, adding that she had been bitten by a tick 2-3 months ago.
This was the tenth victim this year, as a result of being bitten by ticks, with Malisheva, Rahovec, Klina, Suhareka and Gjakova being the most affected municipalities.
