Prishtina, 18 September 2013 – The message of the Diaspora regarding investments in Kosovo is the presence of the risk and many barriers which has to be passed such as the high level of interest, corruption and other problems that make Kosovo not attractive place for investment, said on Wednesday, Anne Meskanen, in charge with works at the Finnish Embassy in Prishtina, during the release of feasibility reports for facilitating investment patterns.
It was said that the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the United Nations Program for Development (UNDP) are implementing the project “Inclusion of Diaspora in economic development”.
According to the data, the Kosovo Diaspora sends around 600 million Euros per year, and this potential remains insufficiently utilized in productive activities that would have economic chain effects.
