Prishtina, 21 March 2014 – Persons affected by the Down Syndrome, supportive by their parents, have protested, Friday in the capitol of Kosovo, calling for the stop of the discrimination towards them, and for equal treatment as all other citizens.

In a protest march under the slogan “Stop Discrimination – It is my child”, protesters started from the Zahir Pajaziti Square and continued up to the space in front of the Assembly of Kosovo.

With placards “Kosovo Constitutions is for us, too”, “Support my education”, “I want notebooks”, and many others, protesters expressed their demands  for welfare, health and well-being, thorough education, employment and independent life for persons affected with the Down Syndrome.
