Prishtina, 26 December 2013  - Kosovo Assembly approved, Thursday the Kosovo draft budget for 2014 by a majority of vote after parliamentary groups previously decided to withdraw the amendment regarding the privatization of 75 percent of the shares of Post and Telecommunications of Kosovo (PTK) from this Bill.

Finance Minister, Besim Beqaj confirmed the removal of the amendment proposed by the Government of Kosovo, which had caused reactions from not only opposition parties but also civic society.

Nevertheless, the Democratic Party parliamentary group have required introduction of the intergovernmental commission report on the privatization of 75 % of the shares of PTK in the agenda. Although the opposition rejected this proposal, after casting a vote, with 59 votes for, 51 against and 1 abstention was introduced in the agenda report for the privatization of PTK and establishment of the Commission of inquiry for PTK.
