Prishtina, 27 December 2013 - The number of returnees to Kosovo this year has doubled; 172 families or 466 persons, of whom 386 Serb communities, 18 Roma, 16 Bosniaks, and Gorani 4, have returned during this year, Dalibor Jevtic, minister for Communities and Returns in Kosovo, said at the last conference in 2013, held Friday.
According to Jevtic, despite this encouraging fact and regardless of the conditions offered by Kosovo for all returnees, work remains to be done in order to achieve the desired level.
“In 2013 we managed to double number of returns and that is good news. This year, 172 families have returned to Kosovo, which have increased the number of returnees compared to last year. But, what is it the main impact when it comes to returns, is the fact that their return is not yet at the level we want to be”, he said.
