Prishtina, 23 December 2013 - Merdare border crossing situation has been normalized and there are no more any long waits to compatriots who are crossing the border from Serbia to enter Kosovo, said for KosovaLive Kosovo police spokesperson, Baki Kelani.
He said long waits of compatriots to enter Kosovo were present only over the weekend, and today the situation has been normalized.
“Border police increased measures adding the number of police officers and two lanes added another lane in order to circulate faster and avoid waiting. However, the problem exists to the other party in Serbia. Negligence on cross-border and greater influx during weekend of our countrymen has created long waits and now waits are normal”, said Kelani.
