Stockholm, 19 September 2013 – Minister of Trade and Industry, Mimoza Kusari – Lila, is staying in Sweden for a two-day visit, where she met with key leaders of the relevant institutions.
She met yesterday with Minister of Trade and Industry of Sweden, Ewa Bjorling, whom she thanked for the support of Sweden to Kosovo during the post war years in various fields, especially in issues related to integration of Kosovo into the European Union, and improving the educational system of the Republic of Kosovo.
During the meeting they discussed the great importance that Kosovo Diaspora plays in the relationship of the two countries. Estimated 60,000 Kosovars lives in Sweden continue to be the main potential for investment and trade between the two countries.
During 2012, Kosovo has imported about 9 million Euros products from Sweden, and has exported around 300,000 Euros, mainly food products.
Minister Kusari – Lila met with the Political Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden, Torbjorn Sohlstrom, as well as with Investment Director, Anders Craft, where she was briefed in regard to economic development activities that Kosovo is undertaken to attract investment and promote entrepreneurship. Today, she is expected to hold meetings mainly with business associations and various businesses with investment potential in Kosovo.
