Prishtina, 23 January 2014 – Rule of Law Coordinating Board, on Wednesday, has agreed to develop a strategy and action plan in the field of rule of law in Kosovo. During the meeting of the board, it was said that Kosovo is moving towards visa liberalization, but the electoral processes in Kosovo, Brussels, and illegal migration have contributed to postponing of the deadline.
Local and international officials, who are part of this board, have described it as a productive meeting, during which the achievements in the field of rule of law and the challenges that await the country in this field were discussed.
According to Hajredin Kuçi, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Justice, a roadmap for engagement of local institutions in the field of law had been agreed. Bernd Borchard, Chief of Mission of EULEX, said they discussed areas which success had been achieved, and that things were moving according to the plan.
