New York, 26 September 2013 – Granada and Libya yesterday officially recognized Kosovo’s independence, while the news was announced by the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, who is in New York.
According to information provided to media by the Prime Minister’s Office, he initially held a meeting with the Foreign Minister of Grenada, Nickolas Steele, who confirmed that the country he represents has officially recognized the state of Kosovo.
Few hours later, Libya became the 103rd country, which recognizes Kosovo’s independence. Official recognition was confirmed at a meeting held with Prime Minister Thaçi with the Prime Minister of Libya, Ali Zeidan.
