Prishtina, 2 September 2013 – The final word on “Kleçka” case will be presented on Wednesday, it was decided on Monday by the presiding judge Malcolm Simons after numerous discussions between the lawyer of the former commander Çeliku (Steel), Fatmir Limaj, Kerim Khan and the special prosecutor in “Kleçka” case Mauricio Salustro.
During the session, psychiatric reports of experts Fabrizio Ramazoti, Richard Leithen and local experts Xhemajl Dana and in cooperation with experts Drivinja – Sylejmani were presented.
According to the expertise, mental condition of the deceased Agim Zogaj, known as the witness “X”, may have been feigned. “Experts have concluded that the witness “X” has been able to simulate from time to time,” said presiding judge Simons.
The presiding judge Malcolm Simons, found the procedure of the evidence completed, while Monday afternoon he was expected to make a decision regarding the detention of Limaj and others who for several months now are under house arrest.
Last May, the District Court in Prishtina, now of Appeals, had acquitted all the accused in the “Kleçka” case, while the same year the Supreme Court decided to turn the whole case for retrial.
