Prishtina, 23 December 2013 – Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) today marks the 24th anniversary of its founding. LDK initially acted as a nationwide movement for independence, but it was the first party that promoted political pluralism in this part of the Balkans as a promoter of this idea in other Albanian territories.
Chairperson of LDK, Isa Mustafa, in a posting on Facebook, writes that this party played a historical role in building the state of Kosovo, and the promotion of democracy relying on permanent friendship with the United States and cultivating idea and the need for Euro-Atlantic integration.
Within this anniversary, Presidency of LDK and other activists of the party entity, will today pay homage at the tomb of historic President Dr. Ibrahim Rugova. Will be organized a solemn academy, too.
