Prishtina, 26 December 2013  - MP Vjosa Osmani, from the ranks of the parliamentary group of the Democratic League of Kosovo, in Thursday’s session, expressed concern regarding the new mayor sworn in Gracanica, Branimir Stojanovic, which according to her, is inconsistent with the Constitution and laws the Republic of Kosovo.

She said the swearing-in ceremony in Gracanica, except minister for Kosovo in the Government of Serbia, Aleksandar Vulin, attended Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Slobodan Petrovic, who apparently did not prevent the lack of Kosovo flag, despite the fact that he should be there precisely to ensure compliance with the laws and constitution of Kosovo.

“Any tolerance of illegal actions would pose amnesty to violations. Minister Petrovic has an obligation to defend the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Kosovo”, said Osmani, adding that one should not forget that from the mayors of 10 municipalities with Serb majority in Kosovo, 9 of whom come from List Srpska, most of them have stated publicly that they will not recognize Kosovo laws.
