Prishtina, 19 August, 2013 – Austrians will continue to support Kosovo in all the challenges that they face as a new European country.
Vice President of Baden Community of Austria Helga Krismer, said that Austria takes seriously all the problems, starting from the local and Governmental problems in Kosovo.
Along with a delegation from Baden Community of Austria, Krismer is visiting Kosovo on Monday and Tuesday. The Austrian delegation had meetings with the Minister of Diaspora Ibrahim Makolli, deputy mayor of Prishtina Avdullah Hoti and other officials from municipalities which Kosovo citizens living in Austria come from.
Minister of Diaspora Ibrahim Makolli said that it has been proven throughout the years that Austrian people supported Kosovo, helped and involved all Albanian people that live there. He also stressed that Kosovo has a young population, and despite the fact that Kosovo lives in Europe, only Kosovars have limited freedom of movement, which is denying Kosovars of seeing the European world.
Makolli said that all the Diaspora living in Austria is a connecting bridge in relations between the two countries. He referred to the Kosovo Diaspora days as viable and vital for Kosovo.
The representative of the delegation Helga Krismer, Vice President of Baden Community, said that Kosovo citizens in Austria are its genuine citizens for whom, as she said, Austria should “compete” with Kosovo.
